Why use the Slam Pad and not a tire?
In order to reduce movement, you would have to use a massive Tractor Tire. Haxe is designed to mimic the impact and workout you get from a tire, but in a much more compact package while remaining comparable in price. This is an extremely beneficial workout, and we want more people to have access to it. Space is valuable, as is time. We are bringing an amazing workout to your front door.
How much space is saved by switching to HAXE?
On average, a tractor tire used for this workout takes up around a 4x4 feet of floor space, nearly 2 feet tall, and 200lbs. HAXE is only 16x18x2.5 inches, and 21.5lbs. The Slam Pad is over 60 times smaller than a typical tractor tire and nearly 10 times lighter. Take your floor space back, people.
What else do I need to start using HAXE?
An appropriately weighted sledgehammer or a mace and a hard flat surface with room to swing. That is it.
What surface should I be placing my Slam Pad?
We recommend a flat concrete slab of some sort. Garage, Basement, Driveway, Street, or Sidewalk. With how much force is transferred into the HAXE Slam Pad from the hammer, it is best to place it on as flat a surface as possible to reduce excess bounce.
How does the cost of HAXE compare to a Tractor tire?
Take a look on your local resale sites. Used Tractor Tires tend to cost about the same as our product, but unless you live near a lot of tractors, you would have to then be able to pick it up. We ship straight to your door.
Can I use these at my gym?
We absolutely had gyms and group workouts in mind when designing our Slam Pad. Line up as many Slam Pads as you like, and get everyone swinging. Just space them apart safely so everyone can swing freely and sweat together.
Can I do anymore workouts with the HAXE Slam Pad?
If you are using our product, you will have a hammer or mace in hand as well. There are countless weighted mace workouts that are fantastic for building a HAXE HIIT circuit, you can use either a hammer or mace for these. Simple examples are; crunches, lunges, squats, curls, rotations, and various swings.
What size hammer should I be using?
That is entirely up to your personal strength, and comfort level. We recommend you start with something you can comfortably raise slowly without straining your back. As you progress, you can always jump up in weight.
Can it be used with a mace?
Yes, we have tested the HAXE Slam Pad with various ball maces and sledgehammers. Just make sure to avoid swinging sharp-edged objects at the HAXE Slam Pad, and you'll be good to go.
